First Georgian VTOL start-up RAVEN was founded in 2019 year.
RAVEN proposes the development of innovative multifunctional VTOL (Vertical Takeoff and landing) manned/unmanned aerial vehicles.
The first prototype will be a fully electric, zero-emission lightweight aerial vehicle that uses modern large brushless electric motors and propellers to produce thrust. It will also incorporate an inflatable wing and obstacle avoidance system. Such aerial vehicles will be able to lift a considerable amount of weight (100+) or one pilot. Both unmanned and piloted aircraft will have high maneuverability, good redundancy, high speed, long-range, high safety and productivity. Every component of the proposed vehicle has already been extensively tested and represents off-the-shelf, proven technology that needs to be fine-tuned and integrated into a final product to achieve an effective and optimized low-cost flight.
The goal of the company is to design, develop and commercialize different modular autonomous aerial platforms for multiple purposes.
